It is said that every house in Andalusia had a Library even if it's owner was blind!
'Abd al-Rahmān Al-Nāsir established a library in Cordoba which is the pride of Andalusia and one of the most famous Libraries in the Islamic world. He'd specifically spent a quarter of sums of Islamic endowments on the Library.
Libraries were created by the Muslims from the very beginning besides the establishment of Mosques.
