Ibn Taymiyyah -رحمه الله- recalls that a group of people came and said to their sheikh:
“I sin.”
He said: “Repent.”
They said: “Then I sin again.”
He said: “Repent.”
They said: “Then I sin again.”
He said: “Repent.”
They said: “Up to what point?”
He said: “Until Shaytaan loses hope [in preventing you from repenting].”
