A PIECE OF THE HEART

The course of our lives has already been determined by God, and so has the total outcome. That isn't something we can control. But what we do have now is what we choose to be. Our dispositions, our interactions, and how we respond to the people in our lives. How we choose to show up and the words we utter, either carefully or carelessly. How we choose to be honest in our dealings and the impact we make in the lives of others. We have control over how we treat others, even if we don't get to determine the overall end result. I believe this is what we can wholeheartedly agree upon.

Because in the tail end, if you have to grieve over people, you'll be left with fewer regrets to linger in your heart because remorsefully deep down, you sincerely did what you could in whatever way you could with them. Even if all your sincerities appear vague and lost, they're never truly sunk with God. Never remote for the tiniest moments and that is what forever counts. This applies to all facets of life. Be it with people or with opportunities.

SURVIVAL IS NOT WITHOUT PURPOSE

Underneath all the smiles, the calm demeanour, and the gentle composure… lies an aching soul that longs for ease.

We pass by people, interact with others, maybe in a friendly manner, and sometimes on a daily basis too, but we lack awareness of what lies within the chambers of their hearts. We don't know how much they sturdily endure. We don't realise what goes through their minds or how many times they've had to let go… of battles, of situations they don't easily mention, because deep down, they are aware these sensitivities can only be generously understood by the very Creator and Fashioner of their hearts. People can be going through this much and still choose to show up every single day, despite their brokenness, because life in its steady nature is dynamic and demands activeness. So choose to remain diligently kind, regardless, and extend due consideration in everyday encounters.

WARMTH IN TEMPERAMENT

There are people whose hearts are so rigorous, stern and hard that it takes a mountain to crush those very hearts to compassion and empathy. On the other hand, there are those that are blessed with such tender, soft hearts, with sensitive, caring souls that make way for empathy to flow so naturally you'll assume it's part and parcel of what they are. And in reality, that's just a smooth extension of their true selves.

They have the outstanding unique ability to honestly put themselves in the shoes of others, to see scenarios from other perspectives and lend a devoted understanding heart, even if they themselves bleed in their bruised nature. That's what makes the most difference. It's where forgiveness lies, where humanity thrives, and where unmatched power resides.

A DAY AT A TIME

And every single time you thought you couldn't hold on, or supposedly what you thought was the end for you, Allāh brings about a means to carry on, the extensive strength to endure, the emotional capacity and upliftment to push through with purpose, to reach the other side of the plain, the brighter optimistic side of it all, and to steadily find yourself again, in a better lucid place of light.

So no matter the present events, hold on tightly to your heart and know that your Lord loves you in ways you can't even make sense of.
